Example workspaces contain fictional projects and results. Changes stay in this browser; no account is connected and nothing is published.

From work to story

One decision. One question. One release. The same project.

Remove an excerpt to see what the story can still claim. The note repeating the release adds context; it does not create a second achievement.

What supports the story

The reasoning

Maya wants the incoming columns to be visible before saving. The meeting establishes an intention, not a release.

The question to explain

One conversation asks about imported columns. Its frequency and impact have not been established.

Choose the sources that serve your project

The material already lives in your tools.

Decisions, questions, progress, lessons: each source adds a different piece. Begin with one, then expand when it removes work.

The names below describe intended sources and access possibilities, not active Tellshift connections. You can begin with selected text; application access remains invitation based.

Meetings & transcripts

Connection planned

Keep the why behind the decision.

  • Granola
  • tl;dv
  • Other transcript tools

A changed assumption, an objection, a tradeoff or a next step. Preserve the useful moment from a conversation you already had.

A simple first input

A permitted transcript excerpt or reviewed meeting note, with the speaker and context.

Understand the connection

Selected meeting notes and transcripts are a proposed connection path. Access depends on the tool, workspace, permissions and plan.

Granola
Use an authorised notes or transcript access route for the selected workspace. A note, an AI summary and the underlying transcript are different material; availability and scope must be checked.
tl;dv
Selected meeting data can be read through its provider API; an incoming event can signal that a meeting or transcript is ready. Meeting access and export rights need to be confirmed.
Other recorders
Start from a permitted text export. A future adapter must preserve the speaker, meeting context and the distinction between original words and a generated summary.

Team & community conversations

Connection planned

Notice the question worth answering.

  • Slack
  • Discord
  • WhatsApp
  • Telegram

A blocker, a practical explanation, a decision or feedback. Bring the useful thread back to the project it belongs to.

A simple first input

A chosen, permitted thread excerpt with the context needed to understand it.

Understand the connection

Connections to these four tools are proposed. Select the channels or business conversations that serve a clear purpose; personal chat history is not assumed.

Slack
A selected-channel app needs the relevant read permissions and access to those conversations. Ongoing events and historical reads have different coverage and limits.
Discord
A bot needs access to the selected server channels and message content. A webhook used to send messages is not a route to read a community’s conversations.
WhatsApp
Assess the supported WhatsApp Business route for the account and selected conversations. Connecting a business number does not grant unrestricted access to personal messages or group history.
Telegram
A bot can receive permitted updates in the chats where it participates. Privacy settings and chat permissions affect visibility; this is not a general historical chat import.

Documents & knowledge

Connection planned

Give new work its existing context.

  • Notion
  • Obsidian
  • Documents

A project’s goal, a customer explanation, a decision log or a lesson. Keep the current account of the work close to its history.

A simple first input

A selected passage, text from a permitted Markdown export, or a reviewed text-bearing PDF in an invited workspace.

Understand the connection

Selected Notion content and local Markdown are proposed source paths. A source should be chosen by page, folder or project, with a clear version and owner.

Notion
A connection needs explicit access to the chosen pages. Page content and changes must be read and checked; access to a workspace does not imply access to every page.
Obsidian
Notes are local Markdown files. Begin with a permitted excerpt or export; ongoing folder observation would require a separately designed local or self-hosted bridge.
Documents
A document can describe an intention or repeat another source. Keep its date and original reference so an updated paragraph is not mistaken for a new result.

Code & shipped work

Connection planned

Explain what changed for someone.

  • GitHub
  • Release notes
  • Project discussions

A release, a resolved issue, a design choice or a useful technical lesson. Connect the change to the problem it addresses.

A simple first input

A selected release entry or issue explanation, with the exact reference and availability checked.

Understand the connection

A selected-repository GitHub connection is proposed. Choose the repositories and kinds of changes that matter to the story.

GitHub
App permissions and events can provide selected repository activity. Historical reads, relevant event types, current access and revision references need to be handled by the future Tellshift adapter.
What counts as shipped
A commit, merged pull request or closed issue is not enough to promise customer availability. Confirm the release or deployment and its limits before announcing it.

Websites & published material

Connection planned

Follow the publications that matter.

  • Websites
  • RSS / Atom
  • Changelogs

A new article, an updated product explanation or a public announcement. Connect it to a project question instead of collecting every page.

A simple first input

A selected passage and its URL. The current reference field stores the address without fetching it.

Understand the connection

Selected page and feed observation is proposed. Choose specific sites or feeds, a useful check-in rhythm and the changes worth surfacing.

Pages & feeds
Feeds provide published entries, while page changes need a separate check. A future connection must handle access, original URLs, dates, duplicates, corrections and missing coverage.
Your own site
A page edit can update context without being a product release. Keep that distinction visible in any suggested story.

Replies & audience learning

Qualification needed

Let a useful response shape the next story.

  • Gmail
  • LinkedIn
  • X
  • Instagram

A question after a post, a relevant reply or a recorded outcome. Learn what needs explaining next.

A simple first input

A permitted reply excerpt or manually recorded outcome, with its origin and limitations.

Understand the connection

Existing Tellshift read paths cover scoped Gmail and selected owned social objects. Live provider access and operation require qualification before activation.

Gmail
A bounded mailbox, campaign, contacts and date scope. Reading and synchronisation need a configured, qualified worker; sending is a separate action.
LinkedIn, X & Instagram
Results concern selected published objects on accounts you control. Comments need a separate scope. Private observations become shareable only through an explicit decision.
Learning
Keep a manual report distinct from provider-observed data. A reply can suggest the next question; it does not by itself establish what the whole audience thinks.

The direction for ongoing observation

Less retyping. A small moment of review.

The workflow to build: selected sources update the project’s context, then support suggestions at a useful rhythm. You do not have to explain the whole week again.

01

Choose the scope once

One project, a few sources and what may be used. Keep the goals, voice and excluded subjects for next time.

02

Receive the moments that matter

A short private digest brings relevant changes together. Duplicates and minor edits stay in the background; a quiet period can stay quiet.

03

Review a useful suggestion

See the sources, adjust your perspective and choose the next step. Correct it, keep it for later, dismiss it, or prepare a message for the intended account.

These automations remain proposed. An authorised scope can support recurring reads within that scope; AI use, external sharing and publishing keep their own decisions. Unavailable sources are reported.

The current starting point

One useful excerpt is enough to begin.

The public worksheet accepts typed text without a connection. The paths below concern the invited application and the options actually enabled in your workspace.

A note or decision

Paste the useful passage from a meeting, conversation or document. Keep the origin, the person who can confirm the facts and its permitted use.

Selected text

A reviewed document

In a configured workspace, a text-bearing PDF can provide material to confirm. Scanned documents needing optical character recognition are outside this intake path.

Review required

A spoken contribution

A voice intake path can produce a transcript for review. Live transcription must be qualified in your environment before it serves as a source.

Setup to confirm

A reference and a response

Keep the original link beside supplied text, or record a reply and its context. Stored URLs do not trigger automatic fetching.

Visible provenance

Style samples and generated writing do not become factual evidence. Facts, attribution and permitted uses stay tied to the confirmed source.
